Miley Cyrus TV Role on 'Two and a Half Men' Confirmed

Miley Cyrus has been confirmed as a guest star on the television sitcom "Two and Half Men."

The connection between Miley Cyrus and Charlie Sheen just got a little bit closer. It has now been confirmed that the former "Hannah Montana" star will make a two-time guest appearance on "Two and Half Men."

"Two and Half Men" was first introduced in 2003 and originally starred Charlie Sheen before he was killed off in 2011 following disparaging comments he made about the show's creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre. Cyrus recently complimented the former cast member, stating that he was "the bomb."

Sheen responded by reciprocating the comment and complimenting her new hairdo.

"Idk, w/ that new haircut Miles...You're the [bomb icon]," Sheen tweeted back. "Come watch the show at my place! Xo."

The studio confirmed that Cyrus would guest star in two of the upcoming "Two and Half Men" episodes. She will play the character of Missi, an old friend of Ashton Kutcher that comes to visit for a week. The character is also slated to begin a relationship with Angus T. Jones as he comes back from war.

The tenth season of "Two and a Half Men" will air on Thursday, Sept. 27. Despite setbacks on the show and Charlie Sheen's departure, the sitcom has still met with great success. In 2011, The New York Times called the show the "biggest hit comedy of the last decade." Ratings, however, have dropped from their peak in 2004 with over 16 million viewers, to just over 14 million.

While some fans looked forward to a guest appearance from the former Disney star, others added it to the reasons why they no long watch the show.

"Can't stand her, can't stand the show anymore," Mel wrote on the E! News blog. "At one time I thought it was one of the best shows on tv. Now I have just one more reason not to watch it due to the unappealing, no talent Ms. Cyrus."
