Miley Two and a Half Men Special Boosts Show's Ratings
Miley Cyrus has made her debut on "Two and a Half Men," causing a significant boost in ratings for the long-running show this week.
The 19-year-old actress portrayed Missi, the teenage daughter of an old friend of Ashton Kutcher's character, Walden Schmidt, during the show.
Thursday night's episode earned the CBS sitcom season-high numbers. Cyrus' appearance episode drew 13.6 million viewers and a 4.0 rating in the adults ages 18 to 49 demo- a 14 percent jump from last week, E! News reported.

Preceding "Men" was "The Big Bang Theory," which saw only a 4 percent increase compared to "Men" rising 14 percent, leading analysts to believe that Cyrus was the reason for the show's increase, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Ahead of the episode, Cyrus posted to her over 9 million Twitter followers: "Be sure to watch #TwoAndAHalfMen tonight at 8:30pm ET/PT on CBS."
"Here's a clip of me and Ashton," Cyrus affectionately added, providing a video taken from the show.
On Friday, Cyrus expressed gratitude for her many fans for watching the sitcom.
"Thanks to everyone for tuning into 2.5 men! Xoxoo," wrote the former Disney star.
Cyrus also scored high ratings for Chelsea Handler this week as well. After appearing on E!'s "Chelsea Lately," the show experienced the highest ratings of its season so far.
Overall, CBS earned the best ratings from Thursday night with television series such as "Person of Interest" which saw 13.8 million viewers and "Elementary," which coveted 2.8 viewers.
Meanwhile, Cyrus' role on "Men" may return to the show, as the script was left open to the possibility.
The studio had confirmed Cyrus would guest star in two episodes of "Men" in August.
"Two and Half Men" was first introduced in 2003 and originally starred Charlie Sheen before he was killed off last year after making disparaging comments about the show's creator and executive producer, Chuck Lorre.
