Miranda Lambert Gifts Carrie Underwood A Motorcycle (PHOTO)
Miranda Lambert offered Carrie Underwood a unique present this week following their collaboration on the song "Somethin' Bad."
The two country music superstars performed a duet of Lambert's new song at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards earlier this month, and Lambert is displaying her appreciation with a brand-new motorcycle for Underwood.
"Well, it's not every day @mirandalambert buys you a motorcycle," Underwood posted to Twitter on May 25 along with a photo of the motorbike. "Next stop, motorcycle driving lessons!!! #RansTheBest."
The "Blown Away" singer was featured barefoot and perched on top of the shiny new motorcycle as she looked into the sunset in the photo. The photo arrives just one week after Underwood and Lambert brought down the house at the Billboard Awards with their performance of "Somethin' Bad," which was complete with pyrotechnics and a screaming crowd. Lambert donned a short leather skirt while Underwood chose black shorts, but both performers wore black leather jackets while they belted out the new tune.
Ahead of Sunday's awards show, Underwood shared a photo of the pair wearing Thelma and Louise shirts on Instagram while rehearsing Lambert's new song.
"Somethin' bad about to happen," Underwood wrote in the caption of the picture.
Before their performance, Lambert gushed about having teamed up with Underwood on the track, which is off of Lambert's upcoming album "Platinum," in stores June 3.
"I'm a huge Carrie Underwood fan," Lambert told Billboard. "'Somethin' Bad' is a meshing of our styles and there aren't many female collaborations in our format, so I'm really excited to be debuting it on the Billboard Awards."
Although Lambert is now thrilled to be singing alongside Underwood, she said that asking the "American Idol" alum to do the duet was "nerve-wracking." Nevertheless, Lambert hopes Underwood will "come to the dark side and blow something up and set something on fire" in the music video for the song. Watch the video here.
