Miranda Lambert: Weight Loss Secrets Revealed

Miranda Lambert is opening up about her recent weight loss this week.

The country music star has showcased a slimmer frame at both the BMI Country Awards and the CMA Awards in recent weeks.

Answering the attention her weight loss has garnered, Lambert explained that although she has slimmed down, she has not dropped as much weight as people assumed.

"People think I lost more, but I'm short," she said to People.com. "I'm only 5'4" so when I gain, I gain everywhere, and when I lose, I lose everywhere."

Nevertheless, the "House That Built Me" singer did make changes to her diet in order to shed pounds, including portion control.

"I haven't given up everything, Lambert said. "I just try to cut everything in half."

The 30-year-old country music also noted that she is a fan of fresh juice.

"I don't do the juicer myself because I hate to clean it," she admitted. "It's a mess and I'm not that disciplined!"

Moreover, Lambert stays fit with a trainer.

"We do cardio, a lot of circuit training," the singer said, according to People. "We do things with my body weight, like lunges. A lot of stuff with [resistance] bands. The stuff nobody loves, but it works!"

No matter how much she weighs, Lambert said her husband, Blake Shelton, is always loving and supportive.

"He said, 'I have never had a problem with any way you look at any point- you are beautiful to me at any size and every size,'" Lambert recounted. "But he has been proud of my hard work on this. He brags on me. That makes me feel good."

Meanwhile, Lambert previously revealed her disdain for working out and the refusal to be "stick-thin."

"I don't care about being stick-thin," she once told Self Magazine. "I don't want stuff to jiggle. Really skinny actresses make me hungry. I see them and think, 'Honey, you need to eat!' I'm lucky I don't have to live like that."

The singer went on to say she "absolutely hates exercise," but that she does it anyway.

"I love it afterward, of course," Lambert said.

However, staying fit will not get in the way of her favorite foods.

"I won't give up what I enjoy to look perfect," said the singer. "I want to find a happy medium between feeling good about my body and still having a beer and some barbecue."
