Moto X Price Drops to $399 Off-Contract, Includes Moto Maker

The Moto X price for the off-contract version dropped to $399.

Motorola is offering this deal for the 16GB model and will charge $449 for the 32GB version. This includes both customized Moto Maker versions and the developer edition. The Wood back is not available with the promotion and will still cost an extra $100.

Verizon ran a similar end of the year special where the Moto X price will drop down to $50 for those purchasing the device with a new two-year agreement.

The Droid Maxx, Droid Ultra and Droid Mini will also be a part of the promotion as they will be available for $149.99, $49.99 and free with a new contract. Samsung tablets will also drop in price as the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 will sell for $99.99 down from $299.99; and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for $249.99 down from $449.99. The Galaxy Note 10.1 will sell for just $399.99 down from $599.99.

Verizon will offer deals on the HTC One as well as the handset will go for $49.99 on-contract.

The Moto X along with the Droid Maxx, Droid Ultra and Droid Mini launched earlier this year and all feature Motorola's X8 computing system. The Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra feature similar specs, however, the battery found on the Maxx model is a lot more powerful. The Droid Mini features a smaller screen than the two other versions.

The Moto X functions as Motorola's new flagship handset and features a customizable backing with several options such as a bamboo wooden look and various colors. It comes with a 720p screen and 10-megapixel camera with LED flash and high-Dynamic Range Mode.

The HTC One launched in the beginning of 2013 and is a critically acclaimed Android handset that never sold quite as well as it should have. It features an aluminum exterior that is solid and study with Beats Audio and an LCD display that outclasses most of its competition.

The Galaxy Tabs and Note 10.1 are pretty solid tablets that are definitely worth picking up at this cheaper price.
