Nas and Frank Ocean's 'No Such Thing As White Jesus' Sparks Curiosity in Fans Amid Album Release
Nas may have released his tenth studio album "Life is Good" on Tuesday, but his unreleased collaboration with rising singer Frank Ocean called "No Such Thing As White Jesus" seems to be grabbing an equal amount of attention from fans.
Nas and Ocean are both Def Jam labelmates who reportedly collaborated on the "No Such Thing As White Jesus" song that was supposed to make it to the rapper's "Life is Good" album which was released on July 17. However, well-known "Watch The Throne" producer Hit-boy reportedly lost the track.
The producer tweeted about messing up the opportunity for fans to hear Ocean and Nas' first official collaboration.

"Yeah I (expletive) up and lost the drive while traveling," Hit-Boy tweeted one week before the "Life is Good" album release. "That's why I'm not on life is good. Smh."
Ocean opened about the collaboration by sharing some of the lyrics he sang on the record that fans will never get the opportunity to hear.
"Whatever you do, young king, don't wind up dead/ Young queen, cross your legs/ Put a crown on your head and remove the chains/ 'Cause even diamond chains are for slaves/ Don't set foot in no penitentiary and don't taste the poison/ Don't you bail on your families," Ocean sang for the veteran New York Times music journalist Jon Caramanica while promoting his album.
After Hit-Boy lost the record, Ocean said he couldn't recreate the song from scratch due to the album deadlines that the rapper had to abide by for a July 17 release. Still, fans who heard about the record took to Twitter to speak about the lost collaboration.
"I would've loved to hear Nas' 'No Such Thing as White Jesus" featuring Frank Ocean," one fan tweeted. "I need Nas to get that back man."
Another fan suggested that the two re-record the record.
"Okay. So Hit-Boy lost the drive. Frank and Nas don't remember their lyrics to "White Jesus," the fan questioned. "They can't just record it over again?"
Still, many of the musicians' fans managed to accept that the track could be lost forever and decided to send it away peacefully.
"Rest in Peace to the Nas and Frank Ocean 'No Such Thing as White Jesus' collaboration," many fans re-tweeted on the social networking website.
Hit-Boy joined in on the conversation, blaming the loss on a blue disc drive.
"RIP my blue seas disc drive," the producer wrote with a sad face. "I lost mad sessions."
While the rapper's album will not feature any songs about a "White Jesus," Nas manages to tackle several themes taking place within New York City's urban climate social on his tenth studio album.
