NeNe Leakes Praises God Amid Assault Claims
NeNe Leakes is turning to God amid claims that she assaulted a Bravo television network producer.
Leakes, the 45-year-old Hollywood actress who appears on "I Dream of NeNe," was the subject of a Media Takeout report that claimed that she assaulted a producer on the network that broadcasts her reality television series. However, the star who also appears on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" took to Twitter to refute those claims.
"I don't know 1 person on this earth that is worth me hitting! The most I will do is hit u wit the court system," Leakes tweeted. "..Every season they claim I hit somebody but u haven't seen it yet have u! That's because it never happens (SIC)."
Instead of strictly defending herself, Leakes also took the opportunity to praise God on the social networking website where she has over one million friends.
"I have been honest to a fault wit some people but there's nobody greater than God 2 turn too! Nobody can heal like u can God," Leakes tweeted. "Lift your hands & say i'am grateful! Praise him (SIC)."
While Leakes' current series showcases her remarrying ex-husband Gregg Leakes, she insists that it wasn't for ratings.
"Greg and I broke up for real. I'm a mom and divorce is very hard," she told the Tom Joyner Morning Show recently. "It's very difficult. I was heartbroken. I would never do that for a profile."
The reality television star went on to defend herself against the critics who may be questioning if her divorce was legitimate.
"Why would I need to do that? I lived all these years as Nene Leakes, before a camera ever rolled in my house," Leakes said on the Tom Joyner show recently. "I was married for real. I gave birth, for real, to his child. I would never do that."
The Leakes' nuptials took place in Atlanta, Ga at the InterContinental Hotel in a $1.8 million event this past summer. Leakes previously said her ceremony was much better than the first time she married Gregg.
"Both of us want this, so it will definitely work this time. I know exactly what I'm getting myself into," Leakes previously told Life & Style magazine. "It was more romantic this time than the first, Gregg and I are real adults, so it was better."
