NeNe Leakes Talks Getting Former 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Castmates Fired

Nene Leakes, the 45-year-old actress and cast member of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," is addressing rumors that she has gotten previous cast members fired.

Out of six seasons of the popular Bravo network television show, Leakes is the only original cast member left. While DeShawn Snow, Lisa Wu-Hartwell, Sheree Whitfield and Kim Zolciak have left one by one from seasons one through five, Leakes is insisting that she has had nothing to do with their departures.

"I was the first housewife in and I think that's why people assume that. I was the very first housewife and I referred Kim and Sheree and DeShawn Snow; that was season one," Leakes revealed on the Serius XM radio show "Sway In The Morning." "I don't have nothing on Bravo. They do their own hiring and firing, so I had no hand in that."

Leakes seemed proud that she made it through six seasons of the hit reality television series.

"I am the last original housewife standing, so that should tell you a lot," she told radio host Sway Calloway.

The actress and reality television star shared her recipe for success while appearing on the radio show.

"Staying true to who I am has brought me so far," Leakes said. "I've never been the type of girl to use people to get where I wanted to go, I probably could have gotten here a lot sooner, I just waited for my time."

Leakes will be a major part of the show's upcoming season six, and the Bravo network released a statement about what fans can expect from her storyline.

"NeNe relishes being Gregg's new wife again and settles back into Atlanta after a year of living in Hollywood," a statement from Bravo reads.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta will return to Bravo on Sunday Nov. 3 at 8 p.m.
