New 'Super Mario Odyssey'-Themed Switch Bundle to Roll Out in October
Super Mario fans who are also planning to purchase a Nintendo Switch console can hit two birds with one stone.
Nintendo announced during a Nintendo Direct stream that they will release a new Switch bundle themed after "Super Mario Odyssey." The bundle includes the main console, a copy of "Super Mario Odyssey," red Joy-Cons, and a special carrying case. The case is clad in red and features a map complete with markings.
Nintendo also discussed more details of the game, as well as the new Amiibo figures. Moreover, Gamespot reported that the gaming giant also touched on the new feature called the Photo Mode. The feature allows players to take screenshots of their game by pressing "Down" on the d-pad while playing. It gives gamers the freedom to zoom the camera in and out, at any angle they wish.

In addition, the Photo Mode also comes with a selection of filters to achieve different looks.
Aside from the Photo Mode, fans are also looking forward to the new levels that will be featured in the upcoming game. Last month, Nintendo revealed the Luncheon Kingdom, which is one of the game's key levels. It features a food-based theme full or prawns, vegetables, and other types of gastronomical treats.
The Luncheon Kingdom also showcases a colorful polygonal environment that is rendered in a stylized art approach. Game director Yoshiaki Koizumi shared that the level was inspired by different European countries like Italy, which is known for its rich culture and appreciation for food.
Additionally, "Super Mario Odyssey" bagged the "Best of Gamescom" award during the Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany. Furthermore, it also took home four more awards, namely, the "Most Wanted Consumer Award," the "Best Action Game," the "Best Nintendo Switch Console," and the "Best Family Game."
