The Nexus 7 2 release date is scheduled for July 31.
The company will launch the device that will run Android 4.3, JellyBean out of the box that day, according to a report from Engadget.
The site also released an updated list of specifications for the tablet that includes a 7-inch display, a 15.GHz quad-core processor, 32GB of storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.2-megapixel front camera, a 1080p output and wireless charging capabilities.

The publication also stated that the July 31 release date is confirmed for Staples with the tablets expected to arrive in stock on July 24. Google should have it available around the same time.
Retailers normally receive products days before their release date so this is really not surprising. The new Nexus 7 will be slightly more expensive than the original version retailing for $269.99, according to more information found in these photos.
Other pictures of the actual device were recently leaked to Android Central. The new version happens to look almost identical to the original model. Google could also decide to launch its new Android 4.3 software at the same event where the new tablet will be unveiled.
This Asus made product will enter into a market that is a bit more flooded by 7-inch tablets than the original did. The competition has certainly grown as Samsung released its 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3, Amazon launched the Kindle Fire HD, and Apple put out the iPad Mini. All of these slates are affordably priced, and feature impressive specifications.
The Nexus 10 successor will also most likely be released sometime before the end of this year. The original version launched in November of 2012.
