Nokia Lumia 929 Verizon Flagship Smartphone Video and Images Surface
A video and images featuring the upcoming Verizon Windows flagship the Nokia Lumia 929 were posted on the internet by WPCentral this week.
The site released videos and photos featuring the device shortly after Nokia's big event that also took place this week. Fans were disappointed when the smartphone was left out of the event. Unfortunately the video was taken down by the user, but the pictures can still be seen.
The Lumia 929 is expected to launch on Verizon sometime in the very near future.
The device is branded to be a flagship Windows Phone for the carrier that will replace the existing Lumia 928 that is currently offered by Big Red. It also made a recent appearance in a press photo on @Evleaks. Sources familier with Nokia's plans revealed that the device will be available on the carrier before the end of 2013.
Judging from these reports, the Lumia 929 will feature a large-screen with 1080p resolution, a 20-megapixel camera, a Snapdragon 800 chip, and will be a variant of the Lumia 1520 that is currently available through Verizon.
Nokia will also release the Lumia 525 handset which has been codenamed Glee later this year. @evleaks revealed the name for this device earlier today. However, it did not offer any details regarding its appearance or specifications.
The Verge reported on this handset earlier this year stating that the Lumia 525 will replace the Lumia 520 that was made to focus on music.
The Lumia 525 will be unveiled alongside six of the devices the company is expected to introduce next month. It is a lower-end model that will be vital to the company's market share, since the Lumia 520 is the most popular Windows Phone that's driving market share increases for Microsoft's mobile OS.
