Olivia Wilde Wedding Date Set
Olivia Wilde and her fiancé Jason Sudeikis have set a date for their upcoming nuptials in spring 2014, according to reports on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old actress announced her engagement in January, but has been dating Sudeikis since November 2011.
Additional wedding details include that the couple are planning to hold the ceremony in upstate New York, according to The New York Post.
Wilde reportedly divulged the wedding specifics while at New York City's The General, and added that a long engagement goes against her family's tradition of marrying shortly after the proposal.
It was after a long courtship that the "Saturday Night Live" star popped the question to Wilde with a large diamond ring around the holidays, according to People magazine.
"They are so excited, and very, very happy," said a source close to the couple, according to the magazine.
According to the actress' representative, the ring is an antique.
It will be the second marriage for both actors; Wilde married Italian prince Tao Ruspoli in 2003 at the age of 18, but the pair split after eight years of marriage.
Alternately, Sudeikis, whose uncle is "Cheers" actor George Wendt, was married to "30 Rock" writer Kay Cannon for six years until 2010.
Upon meeting Sudeikis, Wilde admitted that she was worried she was not "beautiful enough or his type" while speaking to Marie Claire.
As for plans following the wedding, the actress revealed having a family it utmost on her mind.
"We've discussed all our ideals and hopes. I can't wait for children," said Wilde. "I'm open-minded about how many, but three, which I love, is like a little party."
The "Cowboys and Aliens" star also gushed about Sudeikis.
"He's so good with kids," said Wilde. "I've never before experienced looking at someone and thinking, 'That's who I want to raise a child with.'"
