One Direction Turns Down First Lady Over Busy Schedule
British boy band One Direction was apparently too busy to visit the White House this Monday for the annual Easter egg hunt.
The five member teenage boy band met Michelle Obama while they were attending this year's Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
The First Lady was so impressed with the group that she invited the band to the White House to attend the 134th annual Easter Egg Roll, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Unfortunately the band was unable to attend to egg roll, but considered the invite a huge honor.
"It was such an honor [but] sadly the band was unable to accept her invitation as they are off to Australia," a source told Entertainment Weekly.
Several media reports stated that the chart topping band had far too many "prior commitments" which prevented them from attending.
A representative for the group continued to explain that all members of the band were eager to stop by the White House during their tour this summer around the U.S. Their tour begins next month in Virginia.
According to The Sun, One Direction band members; Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik were the first British band to take over the number one spot on an American music chart with their hit, "Up All Night."
The five-member group first appeared on Britain's "The X-Factor" and then quickly shot to fame after they were done competing on the show.
"There are so many bands who all get called 'the next Beatles.' Suddenly it puts an awful lot of pressure on them to be the next Beatles," former Beatles member Paul McCartney told ITV1.
"Oasis were 'the next Beatles' once, if you remember. It's a pressure, because suddenly you've got to live up to all the things that we did, and it was a different time. So let's just call them 'the next terrific band,'" McCartney said.
