'One Punch Man' Designer Unveils New Sketch of Hero Saitama

With still no definite date for the return of "One Punch Man," any form of information regarding the hit anime is gold. This time, the latest teaser came from the show's animation team.

Character designer Chikashi Kubota shared a new sketch on Twitter. The doodle featured the show's protagonist, Saitama, clenching his two fists. The post also came with a message thanking the show and welcoming its new staff and Studio.

Back in July, the show's creator called ONE posted on Twitter a black and white drawing of the bald hero. The image showed Saitama with blood dripping from his glove, with no caption or any clue as to what the image means.

As soon as the image swirled online, fans started speculating on the meaning behind the sketch. Some of the more popular rumors involved Saitama's possible battles in season 2, where he is expected to face several opponents. Moreover, the image could also signify an aftermath of his encounter with the Monster Association.

The dreaded group, which is led by Gyorogyoro, has the ability to match the power of Saitama and give the latter a serious challenge.

Last month, Kotaku reported that a different studio will handle the production of "One Punch Man" season 2. Its previous production team, Madhouse, will no longer return as J.C. Staff will take over the anime's production. Furthermore, director Shingo Natsume has also left the show, with Chikira Sakurai taking over his role.

Yonkou Productions also lamented on Twitter the departure of Natsume, more than Madhouse severing its ties with the Anime. Tomohiro Suzuki takes on the series composition while Makoto Miyazaki and Shoji Hata will handle the music and sound directing, respectively.

As for the voices behind the characters, fans can expect to hear the same old voices from Season 1. Makoto Furukawa will still take on Saitama while Kaito Ishikawa will give life to Genos.
