Pam Anderson in Skimpy Romper: Is 44-Year-Old 'Trying Too Hard'?
Pam Anderson, in a skimpy romper, appeared at an Andalo Liqour presentation in Berlin, Germany. Her revealing bright orange getup begged one question from critics: isn't the 44-year-old mother of two too old for that?
Pam Anderson's skimpy romper stole the show in Germany April 19, and then the former "Baywatch" star attended a car show in Monaco with an equally risqué multicolored backless blouse and khaki short shorts that showed off her legs from thigh to heel.
While many remember Anderson's scanty outfits from her 1990s portrayal of a lifeguard on "Baywatch," many feel the Canadian actress is too old to dress so provocatively.
"There comes a point in every [actress'] life where they can no longer wear these types of pants-less outfits. For Pamela Anderson, that point came about 6 years ago," wrote The Blemish. "She just chose to ignore it. Here she is … reminding everyone why no one invites her places anymore."
"She's trying too hard," Amanda Helling concurred on the TooFab.com blog.
Some, however, feel that her use of exposing outfits is warranted. After all, Anderson did rise to prominence first by posing nude for Playboy magazine in 1989. After getting breast implants to further her career, she modeled, and also transitioned into acting on shows like "Baywatch," "Home Improvement," and "V.I.P."
"Trust me, if I could dress like that and pull it off as well as she does you can bet I would! I'm not a big Pam Anderson fan by any means but let's face it, she looks amazing!" wrote Panda Bear.
Anderson may have another reason to attract attention- she has bills to pay. California tax officials said that the former Playmate owes $524,241 in personal income taxes.
"When taxpayers do not pay their fair share, it places an unfair burden on those who do," said the tax board on its website.
While the former showgirl does make a living turning heads, one user pointed out that she does have at least two reasons to cover up: her children.
"Her boys are almost teenagers. I think it's time she tones it down a bit. Just my opinion though," another user wrote.
