President Obama Shares Bond With Jay-Z
In addition to thanking Beyonce for hosting a fund-raiser, President Obama has compared the singer to his wife, Michelle Obama.
Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z showed their support for Obama in New York City by hosting an intimate fundraising event on Tuesday.
"To Jay and Bey, thank you for your friendship," said Obama during the event.

Additionally, the President said that the First Lady and his two daughters, Sasha and Malia, were disappointed they could not attend Jay-Z and Beyonce's event. Obama noted that Beyonce served as a role model for his young daughters, while he felt a special bond with Jay-Z.
"We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are," said Obama, referring to the famous family members.
The event saw 100 people who paid $40,000 each for a ticket. Beyonce took the stage to introduce the President of the U.S. during the night.
"I can't tell you how proud we are to host tonight's event with President Obama," said the "Love On Top" singer. "We believe in his vision."
The 31-year-old singer has always been outspoken about her support of Obama as well as the First Lady. In fact, Beyonce penned a hand-written thank you letter earlier this year thanking Michelle Obama for acting as a positive role model.
Moreover, Beyonce appeared in a presidential campaign video for Obama over the summer in which she explained her thank you letter to the First Lady.
Jay-Z and Beyonce's event was one of numerous fundraisers that have been hosted by celebrities in support of President Obama. This year alone, George Clooney, Sarah Jessica Parker, Tyler Perry, and several other stars have orchestrated events benefitting Obama's reelection campaign.
Katy Perry has also displayed her support for the president this week. News broke on Wednesday that the "Part of Me" singer will sing at a fundraising concert called "30 Days To Victory" in L.A. on Oct. 7.
