Prince George, Kate Middleton, Prince William Make Last Appearance as Royal Tour Ends in Australia: A Look Back (PHOTOS)

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son, Prince George, wrapped up their three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia today and "reluctantly" said goodbye.

A spokesperson for the royal family said, "The tour of New Zealand and Australia has been an incredible experience for both the Duke and Duchess and the couple really have enjoyed it immensely."

"We always said this would be an opportunity for the Duke to introduce both countries to the Duchess and Prince George and the couple have been bowled over by the extraordinarily warm welcome shown to them as a family by people everywhere they went," the spokesperson added.

On Thursday, April 15, Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge bid farewell to Australians with a visit to the Parliament House in Australia where Will offered a speech reflecting on their trip.

"Reluctantly, Catherine, George and I leave Australia tomorrow," the royal said. "Thank you for the warmth and generosity that has been shown to us during our visit. We go away with wonderful memories, and George foes away with his cuddly wombat, which he has taken to chewing so lovingly. We greatly look forward to coming back. And when we do return, it will be to marvel again at all that Australia is, and will yet become."

Today, the Duke and Duchess made a previously unannounced appearance at a pre-dawn solemn service marking Anzac day where they honored Australia's fallen soldiers. They later attended the main Anzac Day ceremony.

As the royal tour came to a close, Catherine, Will and Prince George boarded a plane back home to the U.K. at the Fairbairne Airbase in Canberra, where they were seen off by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott and his wife, Margie Abbott.
