Raven-Symone Attempting to Get Michelle Obama to Officiate Her Same-Sex Wedding?
Raven-Symone, Broadway actress who stars in "Sister Act," is reportedly ready to marry her alleged girlfriend and would like first lady Michelle Obama to officiate the nuptials.
"Raven wants a big, splashy affair, and she really wants Michelle to officiate," a source reportedly said according told the National Enquirer.
Symone's alleged girlfriend is former "America's Next Top Model" contestant, AzMarie Livingston. According to the publication, Symone is hoping that the Obama matriarch will be a part of her wedding since the Obama children are fans of the actress's work on Disney.
"Knowing how the Obamas have become firm believers in marriage equality, Raven didn't hesitate to ask her reps to send a letter to Michelle asking if she'd get temporary credentials to legally marry AzMarie and her," the National Enquirer reported.
While Symone did not confirm or deny any media reports concerning her sexual orientation, the actress did take to Twitter to sound off on those prying into her personal life.
Symone took to her Twitter social media account to speak about the National Enquirer's claims that she was living an alternative lifestyle.
"I'm living my personal life the way I'm happiest," she tweeted in May. "I'm not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I'm dating and I shall not start now. My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I'm dating to know. I'm not one for a public display of my life."
While she is not willing to speak about her personal life, the actress told The Huffington Post about the great experience she is having on Broadway.
"It's everything that I expected, it's fabulous. I'm having a great time," the actress said in an April report. "The cast and crew, we're melding very well together. It's cool to see the audience give us props at the end of the shows and it's cool to be able to be a part of this community for the time that I'm allotted."
