'Real Housewives' Fired: Caroline and Kathy Out, Teresa's Friends In?

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars Caroline Manzo and Kathy Wakile are reportedly not returning to the show for season five, and three new housewives will allegedly be joining the remaining cast mates.

Breakout star Teresa Giudice, 40, her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, 35 and Jacqueline Laurita, 38 will reportedly return to the show where newcomers Noelle Brescia, Gia Casey and Priscilla DiStasio will join, according to AllThingsRH.com.

Despite reports that former housewife Danielle Staub would be returning, it is understood that while she had a recent meeting with Bravo TV host Andy Cohen, the mother of two will not be returning. However, Giudice's close friend Kim DePaola will be involved in the show more regularly.

During seasons three and four, Giudice, who was at the center of the show's recurring drama, was constantly embroiled in vicious feuds with her co-stars. The cast shake up will undoubtedly spark changes in the group's dynamic, particularly since all of the newcomers have close ties to Giudice.

"Priscilla is Teresa's new best friend and her makeup artist. She would be perfect because she's full of drama and has a mouth on her," a source reportedly told RadarOnline.com.

"Gia is married to DJ Envy who hosts a morning show on Power 105 in New York and Teresa has always bragged that she is friends with Gia," the source said. Brescia and DePaola, who is a good friend of Giudice's, are also said to be close friends.

It was previously claimed that Manzo, who received widespread backlash for admitting to bullying Giudice on the show, was trying to have the mother of three fired by Bravo executives. Despite her reported efforts, Manzo, 50, was ultimately given the boot, reports claim.

"[Caroline's] been trying to get the other ladies to all gang up on Teresa and make some kind of ultimatum of 'Teresa or us' to Bravo producers, she believes that could work, but I think she is seriously underestimating the star power of Teresa," a source previously told Reality Weekly.
