Real Housewives' Gretchen Rossi Claims Tamra Barney's Engagement is Fake?

"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Gretchen Rossi is claiming that her co-star Tamra Barney's engagement to boyfriend Eddie Judge is a stunt that has been crafted by the show's producers according to new reports.

The 31-year-old claims that her long time boyfriend, Slade Smiley, was approached by producers about proposing to her at an exotic location to help form a dramatic season finale, according to TMZ.

Despite the producers proposing a trip to Bora Bora and a free engagement ring for Smiley to give to Rossi, he turned down the offer and when the couple heard about Barney's engagement to Judge they put two and two together.

Rossi is telling her friends that producers approached Barney and Judge after Smiley rejected their proposal, and that they took up the offer for financial reasons.

Despite Rossi's claims that Barney's engagement has been manufactured for the reality TV show, the mother of four claims that it was all one big surprise.

While Judge, 39, reportedly popped the question in Bora Bora, he proposed for a second time in front of Barney's children.

"I was shocked! Eddie re-proposed to me in front of the children...And my answer was, 'Yes, we will marry you!'"

The 44-year-old recently took to Twitter insisting that her engagement was not planned and also hinted that the engagement will eventually be aired on TV.

"I'm engaged - I'm engaged… happiest person in the world. It was a [sic] totally surprise and everyone will get to share it with us in June," Barney posted on Twitter.

Barney has one son, Ryan Veith, and three other children Sidney, Spencer, and Sophia from her second marriage.

This will be Barney's third marriage, and although she was initially hesitant she is now said to be excited about marrying Judge.
