Rebecca Gayheart Turns 40 and Expects 2nd Child

Rebecca Gayheart will celebrate her 40th birthday Friday as she and husband “Grey’s Anatomy” actor Eric Dane expect their second child.

The actress was spotted Wednesday with 18-month-old daughter Billie Beatrice Dane at Coldwater Canyon Park in Beverly Hills, California showing off her baby bump.

Gayheart announced her pregnancy earlier this year, and two weeks after husband Dane checked himself into The Hills rehabilitation center. The 38-year-old “Grey’s” star lived in the sobriety facility for 30 days for “preventative measures” in association with pain medication.

“Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus,” said Dane’s representative.

Gayheart has suffered harder times. In 2001, she was charged with vehicular manslaughter for hitting and killing a nine-year-old boy with her car. She was sentenced to three year’s probation, fined $2,800, assigned 750 hours of community service, and had her license revoked for a year.

Also, the actress was ordered to make a public-service announcement warning of the dangers of not stopping when other vehicles ahead have stopped.

In 2009, a home video leaked onto the internet showing former Miss Teen USA contestant Kari Ann Peniche with Gayheart and Dane together. The three were seen nude and referencing drug and alcohol use in the footage. The video was legally removed from the website after several days, but not before the news had created a controversial firestorm.

Best known for her role in 1998’s “Urban Legend,” Gayheart’s break into the acting scene came with her series of Noxzema commercials.

More recently, Gayheart has appeared on shows “Nip/Tuck” and “CSI: Miami,” as well as on “Ugly Betty” as a guest star. In 2008, the Kentucky-native starred in the Broadway comedy, “Boeing-Boeing” opposite Mark Rylance and Paige Davis.
