Records Showing Madeleine Stowe Falling Victim to Home Invader Last Year Surface

Although the crime was committed in September last year, the news about former "Revenge" star Madeleine Stowe falling victim to a home invasion surfaced only this week. This came after TMZ obtained documents from the authorities bearing information on the unfortunate incident last year involving the star.

Based on the documents, Stowe was sleeping naked in her bed with her husband Brian Benben when she heard someone running through their bedroom. When she got up to check on the source of the noise, a stranger pointed a handgun at her neck.

According to reports, the intruder was able to escape bringing with him an antique jewelry collection amounting to an estimated $75,000 as he allegedly told the actress he wanted all the valuables. E! News, on the other hand, confirmed the incident as it reported that the police eventually arrested a certain Walter Canizalez as the prime suspect.

E! News further claimed that the suspect was arrested when he was carrying out another robbery plan. According to the police, Canizales was wearing a Spider-Man mask when he was caught red-handed.

The authorities believe that Canizales is responsible for, at least, three other armed home robberies. He was eventually charged with robbery and sexual battery, as per NY Daily News.

During the arraignment for the case, a bail of $925,000 was set. However, Canizales denied all the charges filed against him. The suspect mandated Canizales to obey the issued protective order involving Stowe and his other victims.

Stowe was a Golden Globe nominee in 2012 where she vied for the Best Actress in a Television Series Drama category for her role as Victoria Grayson in "Revenge," which ran on ABC. One year before the series folded, she announced that she was leaving the show. Her husband, Benben, was also part of another defunct ABC series, "Private Practice," and the HBO comedy "Dream On."
