Reese Witherspoon: 'No One's Life Is Perfect'

Actress Reese Witherspoon has opened up about weathering difficult days, aging in Hollywood, and her new marriage.

Speaking to ELLE magazine, the "Legally Blonde" star said, "No one's life is perfect, and I'm sick of whatever tabloid stuff or this or that story tries to portray."

She continued, "My life is just as realistic as everybody else's. Whoever thinks someone has the perfect life, I'm so eager to dispel that."

The mother of two explained that her decision to remarry was not easy. Following her divorce from actor Ryan Phillippe in 2007, Witherspoon wed talent agent Jim Toth last March.

"I want to not perpetuate any more of this kind of garbage that's out there in the media about women falling in love blindly," she said.

Describing how she met her second husband, the actress said, "It happened out of the blue."

Witherspoon explained that Toth rescued her from a drunk man at a mutual friend's party.

"Jim came over and said, 'Please excuse my friend. He's just broken up with someone,'" she said. "Jim was a really good friend, pulling him out of that situation. That's just kind of who he is, a really good person."

The actress was hesitant to remarry after her painful and public divorce from Phillippe, with whom she shares two children. Despite her reservations about marriage, Witherspoon agreed to marry Toth in Dec, 2010.

"Jim said, 'I'm gonna show you every day what a good partner is, what a good person is. I'm going to take care of you. I'm gonna do this so much that you're gonna get used to it," explained the actress of Toth.

"I was like, 'What are you talking about?' I'd never had anybody like that in my life."

The 35-year-old also admitted that coping with aging is difficult, claiming "nothing's going north" on her body.

"It's all going south, might as well put it on film now, but not without a lot of padding and a push-up bra," Witherspoon said.

The Oscar Award winning actress continues to work in film and owns a production company called Type A Films.
