Resident Evil 7's 'Not a Hero' DLC Trailer, Release Date Revealed at Paris Games Week 2017
The highly anticipated DLC for "Resident Evil 7," titled "Not a Hero," now has a release date. An official trailer was revealed as well at this year's Paris Games Week.
"Not a Hero," a much-awaited expansion of "Resident Evil 7," will feature the return of series veteran Chris Redfield. The Special Operations Unit Captain of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance will be tasked to take down Lucas, the antagonist from the game's main campaign.
'Tis the season to be jolly. "Not a Hero" will launch as a free DLC.
"You're going to fail, and then you are going to die," taunts Lucas Redfield through a videotape at the start of the preview. Knowing this sociopathic big bad, Redfield and his squad are up for a series of mind games and deadly traps.
"Lucas Baker. Right now he is our only link to the connections," a voice from the intercom says. "He's next on my list," he answers.
"Not a Hero" was initially meant to debut last Spring but due to quality concerns, the developers opted to push back its release date to work on bettering the expansion.
The upcoming DLC is slated for release in North America and Europe on Dec. 12 of this year. And again, when it launches, gamers should be able to download it at no additional cost.
Also launching on Dec. 12 is the "Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition," which is a compilation of all of the downloadable content the company has released so far —Banned Footage Vol.1, Banned Footage Vol.2, including the forthcoming DLC "Not a Hero" and mini game "End of Zoe." The edition will be available in Japan on the 24th of Dec.
Capcom's survival horror title, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," launched worldwide earlier this year. It is currently available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles and PC.
