'RHOA' NeNe Leakes Reacts to 'Immature' Criticism After Kenya Moore Charity Diss (VIDEO)
"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes recently took to Twitter to defend herself against critics who blasted her as "immature" following the airing of episode 15.
On Sunday viewers of the hit Bravo TV show watched as tension between Leakes and her costar Kenya Moore reached new heights at a charity event.
The former friends fell out during a violent brawl involving other costars which occurred at a pajama party hosted by Leakes and Moore's attempts to mend their friendship during Sunday's episode fell flat.
In a bid to make peace, the former Miss USA, 43, invited Leakes, 46, as a "guest of honor" at her grand masquerade ball - designed to raise money for the Saving Our Daughters organization.
Leakes, who is a supporter of the charity, claims she never received a formal invitation from Moore. Despite this she reluctantly showed up to the event but failed to put the drama aside, particularly when Moore insisted that she say a "few words" to guests.
"How dare you!" Leakes said in a side interview on the show. "Im at an event that I don't even know I gotta speak at. This is Kenya playing her little stupid games. You cannot play a chick like me!
Moore insists that she did in fact send Leakes an evite, but the "Glee" actress maintains that she never received it. Moore referred to Leakes as her "good friend" before inviting the actress to speak which evidently did not sit well with the actress.
"It's amazing how many good friends I have and don't know about it," a furious Leakes said while taking aim at Moore.
"But I would like to thank Saving Our Daughters which is one of many charities that I work with," she added before quickly handing the mic back to a stunned Moore.
Fans took to social networking sites to share mixed reactions. While some were disappointed by Leakes' "immature" behavior, others argued that the reality TV star was a victim of Moore's "set up."
"Whatever issues you have with me NeNe, this is completely uncalled for," Moore said on the show. "You make me and yourself look bad, it's pathetic."
Leakes took to Twitter after the scene aired and retweeted messages from various supporters. She also alluded to there being much more to what viewers saw play out on the show.
"No weapons formed against me shall prosper! The truth always prevails & the cream always raises to the top," a defiant Leakes tweeted.
