Ric Flair Arrest Warrant Issued: Wrestler Plans to Pay $32,000
World Wrestling Entertainment legend Ric Flair is wanted by police for failure to pay spousal support. A judge issued an arrest warrant just one day after his ex-wife, Jacqueline Baines Beem, was arrested for harassing phone calls.
Flair owes $32,000 in spousal support, according to the Charlotte Observer. After separating from Beem, Flair was ordered to pay her $4,000 a month to cover living expenses. Flair did not pay, though, even though two court orders were issued instructing him to pay the amount. He can avoid arrest and jail time if he pays the full amount due, which is $32,352.51.
"The reason I didn't pay my ex-wife the $32,000 is because my son died and I was in the hospital for a month," Flair told the Observer. "I was in the hospital for a month with a blood clot. I didn't go to work for three months."

He said that he plans to make amends and pay Beems the amount ordered by the court. Reid Fliehr died in March after ingesting a combination of heroin and prescription medications. His father, Ric, was the one to find his body in a hotel room, causing him great distress.
Yet Flair was well enough to participate and film "Celebrity Wife Swap" with friend, and former colleague, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Throughout the episode, Flair's extravagant lifestyle was critiqued and Flair routinely taken to task for dropping large amounts of money in bars, on jewelry, and on clothing.
Beems was arrested the day before for making harassing phone calls to Flair's current girlfriend, Wendy Barlow. She was released on $500 bond.
"My girlfriend Wendy Kidder is the mother of four and she has 50 texts and five phone (voicemails) from my ex-wife," Flair told the Observer. "They didn't give Wendy a warrant for arrest without looking at all of that stuff."
Flair and Beems separated in 2012, after three years of marriage.
