Rihanna, Chris Brown Back Together After Christmas Date (PHOTO)
Rihanna and Chris Brown are reportedly back together and this time it appears that they are ready to go public with their relationship for the first time in three years.
The tumultuous couple, who split in 2009 after Brown, 23, assaulted the Bajan singer, 24, were photographed together watching the Lakers vs. Knicks basketball game at the Los Angeles Staples Center on Tuesday. Although the pair appeared to be in good spirits throughout their date, recurring reports claim that Rihanna's mentor Jay-Z is concerned that their rekindled romance will only end badly again, according to RadarOnline.com.
"Jay was absolutely disgusted by what Chris did to Rihanna. Jay doesn't understand how a man could ever lay hands on a woman; it just goes against who he is and about. Chris is absolutely dead to Jay, he wants nothing to do with him ever. Now that Rihanna is hooking up with Chris and recording songs with him, Jay is deeply disappointed in her actions," a source told Radar.

"He can't fathom why Rihanna is doing the things she is doing. He understands the need for forgiveness, but he is adamant that Rihanna shouldn't forget what Chris did to her. Jay wonders what kind of message this is sending to her young female fans. Rihanna knows how Jay feels about Chris, but she doesn't care, she is going to do what she wants," the source added.
Rihanna appears to be unfazed by her critics as the singer shared yet another intimate photo of herself and Brown with her 27 million followers after watching the game. Despite constantly being faced with seemingly never-ending drama the couple appears to be growing stronger, which will likely leave upset Brown's ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
The 24-year-old model, who dated Brown for two years following his split from Rihanna, has reportedly been clinging to the hope of a reconciliation despite him admittedly ending their relationship over Rihanna in September.
Tran was reportedly waiting on Brown to wrap up his "Carpe Diem" tour with the hope that they would reconcile upon his return back to Los Angeles. They had allegedly been in constant contact while he was away despite him reconciling with Rihanna.
"[Chris] talks to Karrueche everyday by text and Kae is holding it down for him," a source previously told HollywoodLife.com with another adding. "All she wants [is] for Chris is to finish out his tour and come back home to L.A. so they can figure out what they're doing with each other."
