Rihanna to Star in 'Fast and Furious 6' Movie?

Rihanna, 24-year-old Barbadian pop star, is reportedly gearing up to star in the movie "Fast and Furious 6."

The singer will reportedly star in the franchise made popular by actors Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, who she will reportedly work with, alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. A source told The Sun publication that Rihanna's acting skills in her upcoming "Battleship" movie were impressive to those looking to cast a villain in the upcoming "Fast and Furious" movie.

"Writers think she'll be perfect for the role. Her character has plenty of bite and doesn't take any prisoners - just like her in real life," the source said. "It's a step up the ladder for her and could lead to bigger action roles."

Although the film is not set to make its debut until May 2013, it will begin production next month. The franchise film has been set in a number of cities around the world, and "Fast and Furious 6" is reportedly scheduled to film in London.

After starring in the sixth movie, the singer reportedly may also appear in the seventh installment of the film franchise.

Vin Diesel, 44-year-old lead actor in the movie, hinted that the film may actually need to be created in two parts.

"With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn't have enough space," Diesel said in a Daily Mail report. "We have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages, the studio said, 'You can't fit all that story in one movie!'"

Although the Barbadian singer has yet to confirm or deny the news about her next movie, Rihanna is currently promoting her acting debut in the movie "Battleship" which is set to premiere on May 18.
