Rihanna's Tattoo Sparks Debate About Egyptian Symbols and Illuminati

Rihanna's latest tattoo featuring an Egyptian goddess was the topic of debate for some who believe in Egyptian mythology and others who thought the singer's newest piece of body art was connected to some alleged occult activity.

Rihanna, 24-year-old old Barbadian singer, showed her inking off on Twitter recently, where she told millions of fans that the tattoo was a tribute to her late grandmother.

"Goddess Isis – Complete Woman – Model for future generations," the singer tweeted with the image of her newest tattoo. "#GRANGRANDOLLY – always in and on my heart."

However, some people who follow Egyptian mythology took to Twitter to correct the singer's interpretation of her tattoo.

"That's the Goddess Maat," one person corrected the singer.

Another individual took to Twitter to question Rihanna's reasoning for tattooing the symbol of the Egyptian figure.

"Maat is the goddess of truth and justice...now why Rihanna tatted it...I don't know why...but I digress," the person tweeted.

However, others were convinced that the chart-topping singer's tattoo was symbolic of her being involved with an alleged Illuminati organization attempting to dominate the masses through symbolism and secret rituals.

"Rihanna Tattoo is dopeee but it deff symbolizes....Illuminati (sic)," one person tweeted.

Another person seemed to agree with the sentiments.

"Um Rihanna just got the most Illuminati tattoo u guys," another person said of the image on the singer's body.

Still, many of the singer's 25 million fans seemed to support her decision to place her 16th inking across her ribcage with the image of an Egyptian goddess.

"@rihanna I'm so impressed with this," one of Rihanna's many supporters tweeted. "It's so beautiful."

Another person agreed with the fan's sentiments.

"@rihanna your new tattoo and its meaning is beautiful," the person tweeted. "And the placement is perfect."
