Roman Reigns Injured; WWE Signs New Deal With NBCUniversal
WWE superstar Roman Reigns was injured during a battle with Randy Orton but is not seriously hurt and was able to work another event in Newcastle, Ireland. In other WWE news, it has been confirmed that the WWE signed a new deal with NBC that will keep RAW on the USA Network and Smackdown on SyFy.
First, though, Reigns suffered a cut above his eye during a match with Randy Orton. The two superstars have been going at each other as part of a storyline involving The Shield (Reigns) and Evolution (Orton). Fans were concerned that Reigns' cut could mean that he suffered a concussion, but medics ruled that out and allowed him to compete in another live event.
Meanwhile, there had been some concern as to whether the WWE and NBC would remain partners in their business deal. RAW and Smackdown are two of cable TV's very popular shows and bring in millions of viewers. They are also prominently featured on Hulu.com, making them available to non-cable customers. WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, Paul "Triple H" Levesque, made the announcement from the Javitz Center in New York.

RAW airs on Monday nights on USA Network, while Smackdown airs Friday nights on SyFy.
