Sadie Robertson is calling for people to pray for President Donald Trump and encourage him, even if he does not deserve it.

Robertson, the 20-year-old motivational speaker and author whose claim to fame is the A&E series "Duck Dynasty," spread the political message on her YouTube channel. In the video "Prayer for Our Country," Robertson said she is praying for Trump and encouraged her followers to show him love.

"I'm going to pray over our nation. I'm going to pray over our president," she said. "Let's send Trump some love. It's not about what he deserves."

More than what the president deserves, Robertson said her beliefs are prompting her to root for Trump.

"It's not about that. It's about what we believe and Mr. Trump, if you're watching this, I am rooting you on," she said. "... I wanted to let you know I believe the best in you."

The best-selling author who has spearheaded a nationwide "Live Original" tour said she wants to make a difference and help shape the love of her generation.

"I want to help shape the passion and the love of our generation, and I don't want to spend my time on things that aren't making a difference," Robertson said. "And I hope that this makes a difference in your heart and encourages you and all of the people in our country."

She then began to pray for the people in the United States to come together.

"I so desperately want for this country to come together. I pray for the hearts tonight in America, that they would become convicted to not live a comfortable lifestyle of hiding from what they know to be right because they are scared to speak it out," she said. "I pray for a repentant country tonight, that we will ask for your forgiveness for the things we have done. I am so sorry God for the way that we have turned."

While Robertson decided to boldly pray and call for the love of Trump on her YouTube channel, she previously admitted that politics can be a touchy subject.

"People get really into politics, which you should. You should look into it, you should care about it, but ... it's just kind of a touchy subject," she told Entertainment Tonight during election season last year. "So haters, be nice! [I'm on a] 'no hater' diet right here."

According to Robertson, her support of Trump comes from having similar beliefs.

"I just feel like I align most with his beliefs and views and I trust him," she previously told ET.
