Samantha Brown, Travel Channel Host, Welcomes Twins
Samantha Brown of the Travel Channel and her husband Kevin O'Leary have become parents for the first time on Thursday.
The travel host did not just welcome one baby, but delivered twins on Jan. 17, according to People magazine.
"We are so happy with the birth of our beautiful twins," the 43-year-old mother told the magazine.
Brown and her husband welcomed a son, Ellis James, and a daughter, Elizabeth Mae. Ellis arrived at six pounds and 10 ounces, while Elizabeth weighed five pounds and 12 ounces.
"I will be going back on the road as soon as we can, so baby passports here we come," Brown assured her fans.
The new mom announced her pregnancy back in September, explaining, " I am nesting," according to CNN.
"After this job, all of a sudden, I just want to be home making things," said Brown.
Brown, whose Twitter bio explains that she is the "girl with the best job in the world," has worked for the Travel Channel for over a decade.
The world traveler's newest television special, "Trip of a Lifetime 2013," premieres on the Travel Channel on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 8 p.m. EST.
As part of the 1-hour special, viewers will have a chance to win $1,000 for their own dream trip.
Brown and her husband were married seven years ago in Maryland. The couple had wanted children for "many, many years," but Brown's busy schedule stood in the way.
"We had to take a little bit of a break from the show to make sure that the babies could happen, and it did," Brown told CNN. "When we found out it was twins, we just felt so blessed because we thought we would only have one child. When you have two, it's like a sale: two for one!"
