Samsung Galaxy S2 Updates to Android 4.0.4, Ice Cream Sandwich on Sprint
Sprint customers who own the Epic 4G Touch- better known as the Samsung Galaxy S2 on other carriers- are reporting that they are beginning to receive the Android 4.0.4 update on their device.
This update will bring the Epic 4G Touch's software version to IMM761.FF18, and also includes various tweaks to the current OS. Multitasking is expected to be improved on the device with ICS as well.

The company began issuing it in U.K. earlier this week.
The overseas upgrade is said to fix some minor issues with the software. It is also supposed to make the TouchWiz UI run smoother, improve the notification dropdown, improve the lock ring circle animation, create a contacts link button on the dialer, remove local search, improve browser notification, improve camera and video playback, and add battery percentage to the display setting.
Samsung has already rolled out the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update to Galaxy S2 models in the U.S.
It is now available for AT&T's Samsung Galaxy S2, and S2 Skyrocket variant.
Samsung and the carrier began rolling it out last month, and it seems to run smooth and brings some exciting new features to the smartphones.
The update was issued over the air. Customers had to access it using a computer and Samsung Kies software.
The program used to update the firmware is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and Mac OSX 10.5-10.7.
Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich launched on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in November of last year and is available on a slew of other devices, including the new Galaxy S3, HTC One X, One V and One S.
The software introduced some new features to the Android platform, including the improvement of the folders, contacts and widgets, along with a new graphics interface named Roboto and the ability to use Panorama on the camera.
