Samsung Galaxy S3 Images Leak
Pictures have surfaced on the Internet this past weekend of a smartphone that could possibly be the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Initially these images were believed to be leaked screenshots of the Samsung Galaxy S3 making its debut well ahead of its expected Mobil World Congress launch. However, new reports have come out stating that the supposedly leaked images of the new Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone are just a render created by a Russian concept phone site. The device in the pictures seems to look a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S2 in appearance and it can be seen running the new Android 4.0 software.
Even with the possible let down of these images not being an official leak by Samsung, fans can still be excited about some of the rumored specifications for the device.
A 4Chan reader posted the specs for the Samsung Galaxy S3 that were received from a reliable source who hit the nail on the head with all of his predictions for the Galaxy Nexus.
The reader reported that the Galaxy S3 is expected to include a 2.0GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory with and sd card slot, and a 4.65-inch screen that would match the Galaxy Nexus in terms of size. The new screen would be called the Super AMOLED III and is being developed specifically for the smartphone.
The original Galaxy S featured Super AMOLED, the S2 featured Super AMOLED Plus, and the Galaxy S3 will include the Super AMOLED III. It is expected to come with 1280x1024 resolution, giving the phone a ppi of 352 – making it the handset with the highest ppi in the market.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is expected to launch sometime in 2012.
