Samsung Galaxy S3 Makes Appearance in Vietnam
A Vietnamese site has posted a picture of what it says is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone or the GT-I9300, which is the internal name for the device.
The specifications on this supposed leaked Galaxy S3 include a 4.6-inch display at 720x1184 without on-screen buttons or 720x1280 resolution including the on-screen buttons with 320 DPI, a quad-core 1.4GHZ processor running Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich smoothly, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD slot.
Samsung released a brief statement regarding the leak of the device.
"We will be able to tell you more at the 2012 Samsung Mobile Unpacked," said the company.
This is the second reported leak of the Galaxy S3 in the past two days.
Pictures of what could be the Samsung Galaxy S3 were leaked onto the internet yesterday. The images were published by Gizmodo Brasil and show the front and back of a device that they are claiming to be Samsung's next flagship smartphone.
Samsung could be launching the device as early as the first couple of weeks in May.
The Korean electronics giant sent out an invite to an event earlier this week called "Come and meet the next Galaxy," where the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy S3 device.
This event is set to take place on May 3 in London, England.
Samsung also stated that the Galaxy S3 launch and unveiling will take place close together. This means Galaxy fans should be able to get their hands on the smartphone sometime next month.
Gizmodo Brasil's source stated that the model number of the phone is i9300, which BGR has previously said to be the Galaxy S3. It also reportedly features a 12-megapixel camera.
The two leaks differentiate in terms of the specifications, and with Samsung keeping tight security around the device, rumors on it should be taken with a grain of salt.
