San Diego Chargers vs Arizona Cardinals Live Stream: Watch Online NFL Monday Night Football Online (ESPN TV Schedule, Game Preview)
The San Diego Chargers will play the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football to conclude Week 1 of the 2014 NFL Regular Season. This will be an interesting match up, but the Cardinals, who have home advantage, will be hoping to use their intimidating home fan base at the University of Phoenix Stadium to the maximum effect to gain the win. The game will start at 10.20 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on ESPN or online through live stream (details below).
Both teams managed to go further than anyone expected them to go last season, and both will be hoping to build on that foundation this year.
The Cardinals are playing in the super tough NFC West, but despite that fact they still managed to claim 10 wins last season, and they were even threatening to steal the San Francisco 49ers place in the postseason up until Week 17.
Meanwhile, the Chargers managed one less win with 9 but they did manage to claim a place in the Playoffs – which amazingly meant the AFC West had three teams going through to the postseason (the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs were of course the others).
The Cardinals will be hoping that Carson Palmer can replicate his fantastic season last year. He completed 63.3 percent of his passes for 4,274 yards with 24 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. The weakness in those stats of course is in the high interception number, and he will be hoping to keep things tighter this season, and that could help Arizona maybe get their noses into the postseason this time around.
On the other side, Philip Rivers completed an even more impressive 69.5 percent of his passes, which was the best in the league last season. He threw for 4,478 yards and 32 touchdowns, giving him a 105.5 passer rating.
