The 49-year-old actress has seen many highs and lows along her career, including several films that received bad reviews, but Leno was always a supporter.

"You've always been so kind. That's saying a lot in this business because we like to be mean," Bullock told Leno as tears began welling in her eyes. "There's not been one time that you haven't treated me like I had something to offer. Even when the film was horrible and you knew it, you never let me see it in your eyes."

Bullock went on to cite her difficult personal life, possibly eluding to her high-profile divorce from Jesse James amidst a cheating scandal, when speaking to the 63-year-old "Tonight Show" host.

"When I made crazy life decisions you never questioned [them], you were always so welcoming and every single person on your crew was that way consistently and I just felt special even when I felt very insecure," the actress noted. "And everyone I think, in this room and in this country, has felt every day that you've been in their homes and I'm so grateful that I got to be a part of this."

Leno will make his final "Tonight" stage exit on Thurs. Feb. 6, making way for Jimmy Fallon who take over the coveted show's 11:35 p.m. time slot beginning on Feb. 17. Leno's final guest will be Billy Crystal, who was Leno's very first guest on the show back in 1992. The musical guest will be Garth Brooks.
