Sarah Jessica Parker Role Cut From 'Lovelace'
Sarah Jessica Parker's role as Gloria Steinem has been cut from the upcoming biopic "Lovelace," according to reports this week.
The "Sex and the City" star stepped into the project as a replacement for Demi Moore, who was originally cast as Steinem, a famed feminist activist.
"Lovelace" stars Amanda Seyfried, who will play Linda Lovelace, a woman who was abused and forced into the pornography industry by her husband before taking control of her life.

Moore dropped out of film in the middle of production after she suffered unspecified health problems and was hospitalized.
"Lovelace" did not need a portrayal of Steinem in the storyline after all, according to directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman.
The directors decided to alter the ending of the film, going with 1980 instead of the planned 1984 ending- when Linda Lovelace became involved with Parker's character, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Friedman and Epstein noted that Parker was very gracious when asked to rush in and fill the role, making it all the more difficult to cut her scenes from "Lovelace."
"You never want to make that call," Friedman told Entertainment Weekly.
"But she was a pro," Epstein added.
The role cut comes as no surprise, since Parker herself admitted that replacing Moore last minute in the film was "difficult" and "daunting."
"It was difficult because, obviously, the circumstances are not idea," SJP told Access Hollywood last year. "I obviously conveyed that to the filmmakers that I was aware and I was sorry for the reasons that they had to reach out to me. Also, of course, the somewhat daunting task of playing somebody with very little time [to prepare], who was obviously such an important person in the women's movement, but also played such a pivotal role in Linda's life."
"And to do it well and properly and not an impersonation, but rather a complete person with not a lot of screen time and not a lot of preparation," the 47-year-old actress added.
"Lovelace" will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this week. The film also stars Hank Azaria, James Franco, Sharon Stone, and Juno Temple, among others.
