Season 4 of 'Orphan Black' will have new mysteries, Delphine and Susan to return?
"Orphan Black" Season 4 is sure to be back with a new bunch of mysteries as rumours go. First, it has been speculated that Delphine might return in a much stronger avatar and Rachel's mother, Susan, will make a dramatic comeback. It was also hinted that the season will also reveal more about Kira. However, viewers are still in the dark about the Leda and Castor clones appearing in the upcoming season.
Co-creator and writer of "Orphan Black" Graeme Manson spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about Delphine Cormier's role, played by Evelyne Brochu, in Season 4. He said, "We wanted to make a strong choice with the character this season, and worked with Evelyne to craft the role of Delphine." He further said that if they have to get Delphine, it will have to be explained logically how she survived her gunshot wound.
But The Hollywood Reporter also reported that he played spoilsport at a Comic-Con when he said, "Nobody's safe on the show, but she's 'Orphan Black' dead."
Co-creator John Fawcett added when the audience groaned, "It's great - I love that you're all up in arms about it. It's a mystery, guys. There's a reason why there's a mystery."
Both were really teasing viewers a lot about the fate of Delphine.
About the character of Kira, Manson said, "We have definite plans to get more answers about Kira in season four. The most human part about her can't really be explained by science."
Tatiana Maslany, the lead actress of "Orphan Black," also gave a spoiler to Deadline. She said, "The ony thing I know for sure is that it will feel like the pace of Season 1. It will have that sort of mystery."
The media outlet then speculates that the new season will be "filled with new mysteries that will make a change of direction for the show." This might mean that Delphine has survived and Susan, Rachel's mother, makes a comeback.
During the 2015 Emmy Awards, Maslany also spoke to TVLine. In the interview with them, she confirmed that the show will begin production very soon. There is no mystery in this as it means one sure thing – "Orphan Black" will return in BBC America sometime next year.
