Gomez, who is two years older than Bieber, began dating the pop singer in December of 2010 when he was just 17. But two years before that, when Bieber was 15 and barely making into the music industry, he had already admitted to having a crush on Selena Gomez.

"Which celebrity do you have a crush on in this industry," a 15-year-old Bieber was asked during a radio interview by DJ Skee. "Name one person that you've met or not that you have a crush on."

In response, Bieber dropped a familiar name.

"I have a crush on…Selena Gomez," Bieber said. "No one heard that. Keep that on the DL!"

At the time, Gomez was in a relationship with Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. Both were enjoying the success of being Disney stars. It would be another two years before Bieber was introduced to Gomez through his manager. The couple was not officially announced to the public until February of 2011 when the two attended a Vanity Fair Oscar Party together. It was rumored however that they had been dating months before.

Since December of 2012 however, the relationship between the two has been on the rocks. The pair reunited in January and split again until recently, when rumors surfaced that they had rekindled their romance. The rumors were in part, due to Gomez's new song that reveals a voicemail left for Gomez by the "As Long as You Love Me" singer.

"Hey, babe, it's me," the message begins. "I just want to call and tell you that I love you so, so, so much. I just wanted to let you know that you are my princess. You are worthy of all the love in the world. You are the love of my life."
