Selena Gomez 'Come And Get It' No. 1, Singer Tearfully Thanks Fans

Selena Gomez achieved her very first number-one song with her latest "Come And Get It" this week and shared an emotional message with fans.

The 20-year-old has released four albums, but it was not until Monday that she reached the lead position on the Top 40 radio chart.

Once she heard the news, Gomez thanked her loyal fans.

"This has been 1 of my proudest achievements & I couldn't do it without everyone," wrote the starlet. "So grateful."

Furthermore, the former Disney star shared a video in which she choked back tears while expressing her gratitude.

"I cannot thank you guys enough I wanna thank every radio station, my label and most important of all, my fans for loving the song for requesting it," said Gomez in the clip posted to YouTube. "It means so much."

Meanwhile, the former Disney actress is gearing up for an international tour entitled Stars Dance World Tour.

Gomez's new album Stars Dance will hit stores on July 23. The album features the hit single "Come And Get It."

The singer also stays busy with her Dream Out Loud clothing line as well as her acting career, and will celebrate her 21st birthday on July 22, just before her album drops.

In addition to her successful music career, Gomez strives to become an accomplished actress. She first appeared on "Wizards of Waverly Place," but also in Disney films "Another Cinderella Story" and "Princess Protection Program," but today, Gomez would like more adult roles.

"I get offered teenybopper movies, and I've done that," said the Texas native speaking to Elle magazine late last year. "I haven't done a mega-hundred-billion-dollar Transformers movie, but that's not what I want to do, either."

In recent months, the multi-faceted star has made changes to her public image by debuting more mature looks on the red carpet and especially in the music video for "Come And Get It."
