Shia LaBeouf Threatens to Pull Knife on Helpful Man
A video of Shia LaBeouf was released on the Internet Tuesday, which shows the star getting pummeled by an unidentified man outside a Vancouver bar, and now TMZ has learned LaBeouf threatened to pull a knife.
As originally reported, a man in the video, presumably a friend, tried to calm the livid LaBeouf down. Now it is learned the actor wanted to fight off the man with a blade.
TMZ spoke to the helpful man whose actual name is Shea Carter.

He told the gossip site LaBeouf had been drunkenly swaying into bar patrons including the man the actor would eventually fight, who calmly warned him saying, "Hey man, watch out."
Carter continued, and said LaBeouf responded saying, "Oh yea? Or what? What are you going to do about it?"
Things began to escalate and the two eventually took things outside when the man beat the actor into the ground, reported Carter, who is a local hip-hop artist.
Once Carter was able to help break up the fight, and pull LaBeouf to the side, he claimed the actor said, "Well what if I grabbed my knife on you?"
It was then that Carter pushed the drunk star against the window in order to protect himself.
Carter said LaBeouf walked away leading him to believe things were okay, so he went back into the bar. Then he said, the actor showed up outside the window and made a throat slashing gesture toward Carter.
LaBeouf has not released an official comment on the matter.
The bar, Cinema Public House, told TMZ no one on staff noticed the brawl, but did confirm the actor being there, saying he has been a regular at the bar because he is in town filming "The Company You Keep."
The actor is no stranger to fighting with reports of him fighting fellow actor Tom Hardy on the set of "Wettest County in the World."
LaBeouf and Hardy had a series of bad confrontations and after a bad joke the fight broke out.
The star said he grew tired of hearing Hardy and other co-star Jason Clarke boast about their cars and possessions. According to Details magazine LaBeouf said, "At this point I have enough money to live 25 lifetimes. You couldn't spend the money I've accrued now. I have no interest in the materialistic (expletive) money can buy."
Another altercation, which happened in February, involved LaBeouf being called an anti-gay slur at a bar in Los Angeles.
A man had asked the actor for an autograph to which he refused. The angry man made a comment towards LaBeouf when the heavily intoxicated star blew up and started chest bumping before being put into a headlock by a bouncer.
