Simon Cowell Wants Khloe Kardashian on 'X Factor;' Fans Offer Mixed Reactions

Simon Cowell wants reality television star Khloe Kardashian to host his "X Factor" singing competition.

Kardashian, 28, has been the subject of many rumors concerning the "X Factor" hosting position in recent months. However, Cowell, executive producer of the U.S. show, is reportedly placing his confidence in Kardashian's abilities.

According to TMZ reports, sources say that Simon is working to get the youngest Kardashian sister to be a part of the show. The publication reported that the reality television star has a connection to Cowell's co-stars on the judges panel, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

Cowell reportedly believes that the three women have the potential to create an atmosphere that the other judges in the running cannot compete with. Still, nothing can be confirmed until the Fox network that airs the show approves of the new judge, which is expected to happen this week, TMZ reports.

Fans of the "X Factor" offered mixed reactions about Kardashian potentially taking over the show's hosting duties.

"If @KhloeKardashian ends up hosting 'X Factor' I'll be watching it religiously," one person tweeted. "Love her!!"

Another person tried to persuade Cowell to commission Kardashian as the show's host.

"YAY I will love if @KhloeKardashian hosts #xfactor," the person tweeted. "Make it happen Simon Cowell."

Still, other people were not excited about the possibility of Kardashian hosting the singing competition. When one person questioned if others would tune in to the television show, another responded by saying, "Not if Khloe Kardashian is (the) host!"

Another person seemed to agree with those sentiments, questioning Kardashian's talent.

"Ironic that she's judging talent," the person tweeted. "What is her talent?"

Although the official announcement about the new "X Factor" host had yet to be determined at press time, the singing competition will make its season debut on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
