Solange Knowles and Jay Z Fight Video Leaker Found and Fired by Hotel
Solange Knowles and rap mogul Jay Z's altercation has gone viral after TMZ released the video and now the person who leaked the footage has been discovered.
Solange, the 27-year-old singer and sister of fellow songstress Beyonce, can be seen physically attacking her brother-in-law Shawn "Jay Z" Carter while exiting the Met Gala that was held in New York City's The Standard Hotel. After the May 5 altercation made national headlines when TMZ posted the audio-free video Monday, the hotel has now found how the private matter got leaked to the public.
The Standard Hotel insisted that the person who leaked the video was found and fired while holding the individual "responsible for breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video released by TMZ," according to The New York Daily News. The hotel's management is going to turn the information to criminal authorities, according to the publication.

The hotel made it clear that they would investigate the matter after the video was leaked.
"We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity," the hotel said in an Associated Press report earlier this week.
Some famous faces have spoken out about the fact that the private footage of the disagreement that turned physical was leaked and published by TMZ. Actress Olivia Wilde, 30, blasted TMZ for featuring the leaked footage on the website.
"Since when is it ok to release elevator 'security' surveillance footage to the public?" the new mom tweeted Tuesday. "Let's reject this trashy, and shady, TMZ deal. Gross."
Jennifer Lopez, the singer and actress who serves as a judge on "American Idol," told radio host Sway Calloway that the matter was private and insisted people make mistakes.
"Even what happened in that elevator, they thought they were having a private moment and they weren't, unfortunately," she said. "But at the end of the day, you gotta know that that's part of this business … People are going to be interested in those things and at the end of the day, we're all human."
