'Star Wars: Battlefront II' Campaign Length Unveiled by EA

With "Star Wars: Battlefront II" nearing its launching, excitement and anticipation for its single-player campaign continue to build up. As fans wait for more details on the game's newest addition, EA revealed last week how long the campaign will be.

In an interview with PressStart, Motive's studio producer David Robillard said that the campaign can be completed within five to seven hours, at the very least. The length will, of course, depend on the gamers' skills and ability to adapt and react to the new challenges.

"We thought that around 5-7, maybe 8 hours is probably a good amount of time," said Robillard. "We wanted to stay very driven towards the Star Wars fantasy that the players are going to experience and not have it be drawn out," he added.

The single-player campaign's length is comparable to that of the "Call of Duty" games, a Gamespot report noted. The report noted that players may view the length as relatively short, though it should not be that much of a big deal as long as the gaming experience is compelling. In addition, the game's main highlight will be the multiplayer mode, which, compared to the single-player campaign, will yield several hours of gaming enjoyment.

Earlier this month, EA also revealed the PC specs for the game's beta version. For the minimum requirements, gamers must have a PC with 15 GB of hard drive space. For the operating system (OS), PCs should have a 64-bit Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 installed.

The RAM should be 8 GB while the graphics card, on the other hand, should be AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 2 GB or NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 660 2 GB plus 11.0 compatible video card.

For the recommended requirements, the PCs should also have 15 GB of hard drive plus an OS of 64-bit Windows or a later version. The processor, on the other hand, should either be an AMD FX 8350 Wraith or Intel Core i7 6700 while the memory requirement is doubled at 16GB. The graphics card is now Radeon RX 480 4 GB or the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB.

"Star Wars: Battlefront II" will be released in full on Nov. 17.
