'Star Wars Battlefront' Update, Special Reward to Be Revealed Within the Month
A "Star Wars Battlefront" community manager recently teased fans about a special reward and an update, both of which should roll out within the month.
In the "Star Wars Battlefront" forum, an Electronic Arts community manager going by the username Sledgehammer70 discussed how players fared during last month's community event. This was "Star Wars Battlefront's" first community event, and it asked players to reach 500,000 hours playing as Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. The community's response was overwhelmingly positive, smashing the target of half a million hours by registering a total of 1.2 million hours played as the two iconic "Star Wars" characters.
"This achievement is worth a special reward that directly ties to Han Solo and Luke Skywalker," EA's community manager said. "What could this reward be? In true Jedi fashion, it will be revealed in the coming update this month. You will want to look to Hoth to show the fruits of your labor once the January update has been released. Stay tuned to our official channels for more details."
Because of the Hoth reference, Gottabemobile is assuming that the reward could tie in with Hoth in some way. This could mean rewards might come in the form of Hoth gear for Luke and Han, ridable Tauntauns, and/or a blue lightsaber for Luke.
The community manager also briefly mentioned a January update, but unfortunately no details or a specific release date were provided. It's possible that the update might fix the white "pixel" glitches and CE-34787-0 crash on the PlayStation 4, as well as the customary bug fixes, but nothing's confirmed as of the moment.
Regarding the update's release date, it could come anytime within the month. Fans might want to keep an eye on "Star Wars Battlefront's" forum and Twitter account as likely places where EA might make an announcement ahead of the update's rollout.
