'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' update & spoilers: Adam Driver as villain, original cast to reprise roles

"Star Wars" fans have been feeling nothing but hype and excitement for the upcoming "Episode VII: The Force Awakens." It's been a while since the last time the sci-fi film made some noise but it's finally coming and diehard fans can't wait. With a few months to go before the official showing day, fans rely on teasers and spoilers all over the web.

For starters, the first trailer for "The Force Awakens" has publicized to the whole world that there's going to be a brand new "Star Wars" villain named Kylo Ren. According to i09, Kylo Ren is known as the owner of the "ominous, hilted red lightsaber." The dark warrior will be played by Adam Driver (While We're Young, Hungry Hearts) and a photo of his character has been released already. It's a darker image and Driver's face could not be seen. It also comes along with the caption "Together we will destroy the Resistance and last Jedi." From the sound of that, looks like Kylo Ren is going to be a seriously dark villain ready to unleash evil to his enemies.

In an article by Mirror UK, the backstory of the villain was revealed by the recent director J.J. Abrams. He said that Kylo Ren is connected to a shadowy group known as the Knights of Ren. Another source also revealed that the origin of the mask of the new villain will be explored. The design is also in relation to the mask of Vader, who is said to be part of the movie. i09 said that a second trailer was released and it immediately showed the face of Darth Vader. Fans are left confused to the involvement of the old villain character in the movie but they will have to find out more of it when the show hits theaters.
