Taylor Swift Gets Death Threats for Being With Harry Styles
Taylor Swift has received several anonymous death threats amid rumors that she is dating Harry Styles, one of the singers of One Direction. It hasn't been confirmed that the two are actually dating, but fans of Styles see the two as an item and view Swift as a credible threat to their own fantasies.
"I'll murder Taylor Swift. She will not date my Harry," tweeted a member of the online group the Directioners. It is only one in a series of threats posted by members of the group threatening harm against the singer.
"If u [sic] dating my harry, I kill u [sic]," tweeted another Directioner. Some One Direction fanatics are notorious for attacking anyone they deem a threat to fantasies they may have about dating a member of the band, according to The Sun.

"Model Edie Campbell, 22, has quit Twitter after being targeted by 1D fans after a photo shoot with the band," The Sun noted. It's a vicious cycle that has left many stars shaken after simply being seen with the popular boy band.
Swift reportedly met Styles in March but didn't begin dating him until after she called it quits with Conor Kennedy last month. They have yet to go public with their alleged relationship, making the death threats even more ridiculous.
Swift was recently seen out on a "date" with good friend Selena Gomez, who just broke up with superstar Justin Bieber.
The two had dinner and most likely discussed their exes, given the fact that they are both apparently still single. However, Swift's secret romance with Styles may soon become public, thanks to hints from Mario Lopez.
"Taylor Swift was the special guest performer and [here's] a little inside scoop for you. During rehearsals, Harry from One Direction came and slapped me on the back and said, 'Hey Mario, how ya doing?' And I said, 'What are you doing here?' And he sort of [pointed] toward Taylor," Lopez said on his radio talk show Friday night.
"So Taylor Swift and Harry from One Direction – you heard it here first. [They're] officially hanging out, I can say that much," Lopez added.
