Teen Duo Charles & Taylor To Release Debut Album July 12
Brother/sister teen duo Charles & Taylor will release their self-titled debut CD on July 12 on Integrity Gospel.
Fifteen-year-old Charles and 13-year-old Taylor have been singing and sharing the Gospel since they were young children. Their mother, Lechial Swiney, recalls that when they were only ages six and four, the duo decided on their own to start a nursing home ministry, singing for and visiting with local seniors.
They love to sing and to share the love of Jesus with people, says Swiney. Theyve always had a real mature attitude about ministry. They understand that its hard work, but they enjoy it. Its just always been a part of who they are.
Nowadays, Charles & Taylor open for leading Gospel acts such as Mary Mary, Yolanda Adams, and Vickie Winans.
Integrity Gospel General Manager Jackie Patillo recalls when she was first introduced to the duo: When I first heard Charles and Taylor, I was blown away by their huge vocal talent. But I was even more impressed by their mature hearts for God and their strong sense of calling and purpose in ministry.
The Charles & Taylor CD will feature 10 tracks produced by the acclaimed Trevon Potts (Bebe Winans, Trinitee 5:7, Monica, Christina Aguilera), who either wrote or co-wrote most off the material. The songs range from declarations of the Gospel such as Im Not Ashamed, to a remix of Go Tell It On The Mountain and a love song for the duos mother called Mamas Song.
Our music is fun and purposeful and we know the obstacles and challenges young Christians face today, says Charles. As ambassadors for Christ, our mission is to win souls for the Kingdom. We just like to do it with intense lyrics, hot tracks and crazy beats.
Charles & Taylor will be distributed to Christian retail stores by Provident-Integrity Distribution and to general market retail outlets by Epic/Sony-BMG. The CD will also be available at www.integritymedia.com.
