'The Bachelorette': Bachelor Ben Named Villain for the Season

"The Bachelorette" seemingly introduced this season's villain, single-father Ben, who won Desiree's heart last week. However, his actions this week earned him the disdain of the other bachelors, though Desiree is still enthralled by bachelor Ben's attitude and personality.

Brooks was the first man to be awarded a single date with Desiree, and the two tried on several wedding dresses and tuxedos before going on a mock wedding and ending up at the famous Hollywood sign. They spent plenty of time there, talking about the past and the future, their hopes and dreams.

"I'll take the chance of getting my heart broken again and again … This is something you literally dream of," Brooks told the camera.

"This is setting the tone off right," Desiree said. "I'm very hopeful," she added before giving Brooks the coveted rose.

Bryden was also awarded a single date and spoke about his traumatic past, which included a serious car accident, recovery, and time spent in the military. The two enjoyed a daylong road trip before settling down to dinner and sharing their innermost feelings. He, too, was rewarded with a rose.

Meanwhile, several of the men went on a group date to film a rap video with Desiree. While they all competed for her attention, Ben was the one who took advantage of the situation and received another rose. Yet a lot of the guys confronted him about his true intentions and whether he was playing a game or was there for Desiree.

"Going into this, I feel so happy, so giddy … I just can't wait to talk to her again," Ben told the camera at the cocktail party before the rose ceremony.

During a very intimate moment between Desiree and Michael G. in which he was telling her about a life-changing event and his serious diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes, Ben swooped in and took her away. His actions angered all the men in the house, given that he already had a rose and was safe from elimination.

"I did what I had to do for me and Des, the relationship that we have," Ben later told the camera, with a smile on his face. "Every time I see her, I want to take her away."

Michael G. then confronted Ben about his actions, and Ben quickly became defensive and made himself out to be a victim. The men spoke about how often Ben talked about his business and how other bachelors had gone on to have more successful businesses after being on the show, which led to questions of his true intentions.

At the end of the night, Desiree said goodbye to Will, Robert, and Nick M.
